Max Nemetchek grew up in the heart of the Duck Mountains, where he in 1984, started it all by taking his knowledge he'd gleaned from old timers, and by studying the habits of Black Bears, started a family business that promised to offer his hunters the best opportunities possible for that boar of a lifetime, or that highly sought after color phase that his clients dreamed about. And now 42 years later, he's still actively involved in the business, and his sons are working hard to maintain and even grow the level of quality hunts people have come to know and expect at Boggy Creek Outfitting. The area around Roblin and the broader Parkland/Interlake region is known for producing large black bears, including various color phases. Here at Boggy Creek Outfitting, we've come to appreciate how elusive the larger Black Bears are, and how they leave little room for error in how they've adapted to human contact. Over the years, these Big Boars never cease to amaze us as to how cunning they are, and often if just one little mistake is made around a bait site, such as a careless touch that leaves human scent, or the wrong placement of a camera or Hunting Blind, can mean the difference between getting an opportunity of a lifetime at a 500 + lb brute.... or just watching the smaller ones come and go all evening long.
